Titles at Stake:
WBA Heavyweight Champion David Haye grants his countryman Audley Harrison one last shot at greatness in what becomes an embarrassing title defense. After an opening round in which hardly a punch lands, Referee Luis Pabon urges the Englishmen to mix it up in the second. Finally, Haye takes the initiative to throw a shot and hurts Harrison on the ropes in the third round. The champion follows up with an assault until Harrison collapses on his back on the canvas. Harrison manages to get up at the count of nine, but Pabon stops the fight after Haye wobbles him once more.
