Edwards is good, he did great against Cristofer Rosales, won the title, is still improving with every fight, has had 16 fights, which isn't a lot, but he is fairly experienced, having been in against Rosales and Casimero, with the amateur pedigree he has as well.

Martinez has had 15 fights, no amateur record on Boxrec, he lost his first fight, but has won his last 14. Martinez can punch, he has 11KOs, he beat Andre Selby in his last fight, that was an upset, knocked Selby out in 5, he doesn't have any other world level wins, but he stopped Martin Tecuapetla in 4 rounds and Victor Ruiz in 1 round, Tecuapetla went the distance against Cristofer Rosales and Akira Yaegashi, Ruiz went the 8 round distance against Oscar Negrete, McWilliams Arroyo, Zolani Tete, Angel Acosta, all stopped Ruiz, but none of them in one round.

Martinez can punch, there is no doubt about that, but at 24, with his inexperience, I think he will struggle, Edwards will box smart, respect Martinez's power, and he will out box Martinez. I think Martinez will hurt Edwards when he lands clean, and this will be a harder than any of Edwards previous fights apart from the Casimero fight.

I think Edwards wins a UD, but I think he will be hurt in the fight, it will be a very competitive fight, might be a close one.

Pity about the illegal shot, nothing malicious from Martinez, but that was the shot that stopped Edwards getting up, but it seems unlikely he could have survived the last 60-90 seconds of the round, I don't think he would have, still, pity for Edwards about being counted out because of an illegal shot.
