Re: David Avanesyan vs Josh Kelly
Prediction.
Kelly and Avanesyan's styles are very different, Kelly is far better schooled, is faster, more accurate, has better upper body movement and footwork, better relfexes, but Avanesyan is an experienced professional, he's a better close and mid range fighter, hits a lot harder, has a solid guard, is a switch hitter, is comfortable fighting off the back foot. The timing aspect favours Kelly, Avanesyan hasn't been past 1 round in almost 2 years, Kelly has been 10 rounds 3 times since then, but Avanesyan has the better resume.
I think Kelly will start faster, will pick Avanesyan off, mainly with the single right hand, speed will be a factor, and Avanesyan will struggle to let his hands go because of Kelly's reflexes, will struggle to cut off the ring. I think as the rounds go on, Kelly won't increase his output, will struggle with the pressure as Avanesyan throws more shots and gets into range more often, Kelly will make him miss, but not pay. I think Avanesyan will come on strong in the second half, will have more success attacking the body, Kelly's movement will slow down, his reflexes won't be as sharp, but Avanesyan will still struggle for accuracy, Kelly will move off the ropes, will land a clean shot whenever he gets the gap back, Avanesyan won't be able to stop him holding to nullify the inside fight, will take a lot out of himself by relentlessly missing and trying to walk Kelly down, and whenever the pace drops, Kelly will score points with single shots at long range.
I wouldn't be surprised if Avanesyan won this, I don't think Kelly is transitioning well to the professionals at all, won't be as good a professional as he was an amateur, but even if that's the case, I think he's good enough to beat Avanesyan, I think he'll have improved from the Robinson fight, I think Robinson is slightly better than Avanesyan, Avanesyan's inactivity will be more of a factor than Kelly's, and Kelly will win a UD, not wide, but a solid 7-5.

Just my opinion but that cut was a punch in the balls. Turned it into a dogfight.

Josh Kelly really needs to stop using that Philly shell.

Re: David Avanesyan vs Josh Kelly
Another questionable but compassionate stoppage, Kelly wasn't prepared for Avanesyan's inside work, was taking hard shots to the side of the head, wasn't defending himself or throwing back, and he'd have taken a bad beating if that had continued. I think Kelly thought Avanesyan would struggle to adapt if he pushed him back, he thought Avanesyan was reliant on being on the front foot, but Avanesyan can fight off the back foot, Kelly couldn't get his shots off on the inside, and all he did was stand in the pocket, he pushed Avanesyan back, but Avanesyan did all the damage.
I think Kelly had the wrong game plan, put too much into the first couple of rounds, he tried to stop Avanesyan getting the momentum, took centre ring, which was a good tactic, but he threw an onslaught, I didn't think he hurt Avanesyan, he's a non-puncher, and Avanesyan wasn't mentally affected by Kelly's speed or aggression, he was comfotable fighting at a high tempo, and when he was on the front foot, he was relentless, was varied, was prepared to miss, didn't load up or waste anything, dictated the pace, didn't let Kelly get any respite.

Re: David Avanesyan vs Josh Kelly
Kelly is style over substance, Ava the exact opposite. Kelly started well but you could see by the 4th that the tide was turning.
