Prediction,

Lara was in a good fight against Castano in March, it was a draw, which is disappointing for both fighters, but like his in fight before that, Lara came very close to getting the win, just fell short, against a younger, bigger, unbeaten opponent. Lara has a fair few miles on the clock, he's 36, past his best, but he he proved he wasn't shot against Castano, so unless he has got old overnight, this shouldn't be a tough fight for him, because Ramon Alvarez is not his brother, he's a veteran, had 39 fights, but he has 7 losses, been stopped 3 times, most recently against Brandon Rios, back in November, he took a beating in that fight, was a level below, and not against a prime Rios. Alvarez has fought since he lost to Rios, won, but it was an SD, and against an opponent who got stopped early by Anthony Fowler and Jaime Munguia.

I think this is about levels, I don't think Alvarez has ever fought an opponent anywhere near as good as Lara, and I think past prime or not, Lara beats him easily, and this will be the tune up it is suppose to be.

I think Lara stops Alvarez in 6 rounds.
