Prediction,

Great match up, I think this is a 50/50 fight. I think this is a very interesting fight, by far the best fight on the card, much better than the main event.

Pedraza is probably the favourite, he is a two-time world champion, Zepeda hasn't been a world champion.

Zepeda and Pedraza are the same height, same reach, are probably naturally a similar size, but Zepeda has had a lot of fights at 140, has fought at welterweight, has not fought below lightweight, whereas Pedraza was a world champion at 135 and 130, this is his first fight at light welterweight.

Both fighters are 30, probably in their primes, but will start to decline soon, Pedraza has more miles than Zepeda, with the damage he took against Davis and Lomachenko, but there isn't a lot in it.

Both fighters have 2 losses, Pedraza lost to a definite great fighter and a possible great fighter, no shame in losing to Davis or Lomachenko, Zepeda lost to Flanagan, who is definitely not on Davis, Lomachenko's level, but it was a dislocated shoulder, and although Ramirez is probably not as good as Davis, definitely not as good as Lomachenko, but unlike Pedraza's losses, that was a close fight. Pedraza has some good wins, beat Beltran, Stephen Smith, Tevin Farmer, probably has better wins than Zepeda.

Zepeda has had 6 fights more than Pedraza, but Pedraza was the much better amateur, no record of Zepeda's amateur career on Boxrec, and Pedraza was in the 2008 Olympics, was in at least 3 world tournaments.

Zepeda has 74% KOs, Pedraza has 46%, Pedraza hits harder than that number suggests, but I think Zepeda is definitely the puncher in this fight, especially at 140.

Both fighters lost the fight before their Last, Zepeda lost a lot more narrowly, but his last fight was an NC, there was a head clash cut and it was stopped in 3, Pedraza on the other hand, got a 9th round stoppage win against Losada (40-2), so he is coming off a momentum boosting win, and Zepeda is not, which might give Pedraza a mental edge.

I think Zepeda will beat Pedraza, will probably be a slight upset, but I think he will win, I was very impressed by him against Ramirez, he lost, but it was close, I scored it a draw, some people thought he did enough to win. Zepeda boxed very well on the back foot against Ramirez, he got the better of the first half of the fight, he was moving well, Ramirez couldn't get into range, and he was landing clean on the counter, Ramirez came on strong in the second half, finished the stronger, Zepeda hadn't been 12 rounds before, and in rounds 7-10, Ramirez was out hustling him, was able to make it an inside fight, but Zepeda wasn't expected to give Ramirez so many problems.

I think this will be a good fight, but Zepeda will land on the counter, will do more damage, will be ahead after 8 rounds, Pedraza will make it close in the late rounds, but it won't be enough, and Zepeda will win a UD.
