Good, solid performance from Joseph Parker, he went somewhere he had never gone before, hit the guy with so many hard shots, and had to work around not hurting him, and also taking some really big shots, proving he has the chin, the grit, he took the shots very well.
Takam was great, he started very well in that first session, he was more than well conditioned for the 12 rounds, and Parker was able to outbox him for enough of the fight (rounds 2-4 and 10-11), he had more skill, the younger fighter as well, and whenever Takam would manage a fightback, Parker would resume his higher level of success in the next round.
I think Parker won this won fairly comfortably in the end, I certainly think SkySports were talking rubbish when they said "Takam let Parker win". I think Joseph Parker is very underrated.
