Total embarrassment by the commentary team on this one, I've never heard such bias for one fighter over another. I couldn't believe what I was hearing about how apparently dominant Valdez was and sure enough 4 of the 6 other cards here had 2 or less rounds in it. Truly shocking from all 3 men at the comms desk.

Seen it on french channel so not the same comments obviously. There was a power difference, the punches of Valdez seemed more powerful than those of Lopez, but the french comments seemed fair, noticing Lopez was moving more and throwing more, but that boxers seemed to be from different weight category when it comes to having impact on their opponent.

Judges only gave 3 rounds max to Lopez too so they also saw a more one sided fight that we could imagine.

Definite power difference I won't disagree with you there. I just think Lopez outworked Valdez a lot of the time, unfortunately for him he just didn't have the power to win enough rounds. I was shocked to see the judges seem to agree with the commentators, I thought it was a super close fight and Valdez didn't impress me at all.
