Interesting! I didn't know Subriel was going to be fighting this Saturday. I think it will be interesting to see how he is dealing mentally with the death of Maxim. Many fighters in that type of predicament end up not being the same afterwards.

Matias fought already after that tragic Dadashev fight so in my opinion he should be better mentally and emotionally. The guy is a bull

Subriel Matias should win relatively easily.

Despite the knockdown, I felt that Matias deserved the decision.

I had him winning by a point so I obviously felt like he deserved the win but still he got exposed badly tonight. His style is extremely flawed and not sustainable, he takes way to many hits that against someone like Ramirez or Taylor he’d be put away in 6 rounds or less. Subriel is now starting to look like the second coming of Edison Miranda.

You only have to give Ananyan 1 round outside of the last 4 to have him up. No way Matias won any of the last 4. Could have gone either way but a fair decision.

As far as I’m concerned Matias got exposed tonight. There is a limit to the threshold of punishment he can take and still keep coming forward. He’s a tough motherfucker and hits hard but he can be hurt and from the looks of it looked like his stamina was gone after the 7th round. His fight style is extremely flawed and the type that makes careers short. If he struggled against the Petros Ananyans of the world he will not do well against more skilled opposition.
