Re: Timothy Bradley vs Ruslan Provodnikov
What an war!
I think Tim Bradley knew what kind of a fight he wanted to have before he stepped into the ring, and so did Provodnikov, I think the abuse Bradley has been a victim of regarding the first Manny Pacquiao fight had a lot to do with it, he had a lot of fury and frustration to release in that ring, I think Provodnikov always fights the way he fought in this fight, he is a beast, Provodnikov really made a name for himself in this fight, he is a warrior, he took a massive amount of punches from a tough, fighter in Bradley, and it was clear he had no quit in him, Bradley moved well in some of those rounds and used Ruslan as a punching bag, he showed he has an incredible engine, Provodnikov got really frustrated in the middle rounds, but he knew what kind of damage he could cause, and he stayed in the fight, the beating Bradley took was brutal, but they do not come tougher than Bradley, he was dropped in round one, and was in terrible trouble, it was the other guys fight, but he didn't care.
I think Provodnikov did enough to win this fight, I had Bradley down by one point, and he was knocked down legitimately in round one despite it not being counted, this fight could have gone either way for sure, I wish it had been a split decision, no corruption, all three judges just happened to agree, a great, close fight.
Bradley and Provodnikov gave the fans a great fight, but at what cost?, I think this fight did a lot of damage to both fighters, it took a neurological toll on Bradley, and Provodnikov, I don't think was ever the same fighter after this gruelling war.
