Re: Miquel Cotto vs. Sergio Martinez
Round 9 Knockdown didn't exist...but declared by the referee...anyway...Martinez had lost the round...and he was gone from the fight

Re: Miquel Cotto vs. Sergio Martinez
It was obvious that the round 9 knockdown didn't exist. Why have you scored that round 10-8? Oh wait I know it is because the ref called it a knockdown. So what. People should score fights how they are and not copy referee mistakes.
Two years later,
I was dead wrong, it is definitely the right call to follow the referee on the knockdown/no knockdowns situation.

Re: Miquel Cotto vs. Sergio Martinez
If referee calls it a knockdown, then it should be scored as it is. It's the rule. Plus, you get the intangibles of how it affects the development of the fight. Fighter in disadvantage will most likely take more risks. Try to put some thinking on it.

Re: Miquel Cotto vs. Sergio Martinez
I predicted that Cotto would be winning the fight when he stops Martinez in 9 rounds looks like I was right.

Re: Miquel Cotto vs. Sergio Martinez
Well it takes a lot more thinking when you only score legitimate decisions because you have to decide whether you thought a knockdown was scored.

Not to take anything away from Cotto but Martinez had a bad performance.
