Fight Notes: 

In the last fight of his career, just weeks before his fatal motorcycle accident, Diego Corrales moves all the way up to welterweight to take on Joshua Clottey. The ill-advised fight becomes a nightmare for Corrales, who is unable to hurt the bigger man and takes a battering over ten rounds. Clottey hurts and floors Corrales on a combination in the tenth, prompting Corrales to spit his mouthpiece out. Seated by a right hand in the tenth, Corrales is also docked a point for losing his mouthpiece again before dropping a wide unanimous decision.
