Right, I'm so sick and tired of hearing people call this fight a robbery, it is NOT a robbery at all. Pal if we fight and you hit me once and throw nothing else and I throw 15 punches and you take them all on the gloves but 3, That is 1/1 and 100% landed for you and 3/15 and 20% for me are you saying you get the better of that round?

Erislandy Lara is a very skilled boxer and I think that he won this fight closely. I have it 116-113. Lara has one major weakness and that is his work rate. In rounds 4,6,5,7 and 9 he was extremely lazy and didn't throw anywhere near as much as he should have done. In some of the rounds he was preducing much the better work and landing the much higher connect percentage but Williams was landing enough punches, he probably out landed Lara in 4 of the 12 rounds. Most of these rounds are very close so Lara did box very well overall he was very inactive.

There is such a thing as a good work rate. I don't know if you have heard this but some people are impressed with busy fighters who land some punches, whether they are landing anywhere near as much as they are throwing is irrelevant if there opponent is landing less and doing very little. You may think that if Lara had upped his work rate then he could have clearly won this fight but that is stupid for a few reasons. As Paulie Maligaggi once said, If you think like that then you are an idiot. It is not that simple. Maybe the more active boxer is stopping the lazy fighter from being active. Also let's not forget that Lara was tired after like 1 or 2 rounds, he has major stamina issues.

The bottom line is that this is a close fight that could go either way. I will say something though' Lara won 3 or 4 one sided rounds where as Williams won only 1 round desicively .

You seriously need to watch round 5 again. Williams landed WAY more than Lara. Other percentages probably weren't that different in that round.
