With Parker having to pull out of the Chisora fight and Rivas needing a fight after losing to Whyte (and seemingly willing to work with Matchroom again) a fight a fight I'd love to see would be Parker vs Rivas later this year. Who'd everyone fancy to win this one? Would lean towards Parker but Rivas always brings the heat
I'd give the slight edge to Parker in a very competitive fight. 116-112, 115-113.
Yeah I agree with Minimax although I feel maybe 118 scores
Yeah I agree with Minimax although I feel maybe 118 scores
Don't forget the Prediction competition fights this weekend man.
Also, you watching Davies vs Ritson? Unfortunately Gvozdyk vs Beterbiev seems like it won't be aired in the UK.
I really rate Bakole god. I hope he fights dubois, I'll take Bakole to smash dubois one dimensional chin off.
I am a huge Gvodsyk fan. I was rooting for him big league but I picked beter by KO.
Gvodysyk will return again for a title.
So do I, I was very impressed by his performance against Johnson. I think Dubois would beat Bakole, but I don't think the fight will happen for promotion related reasons.
I'm afraid I can't just take your word for it, I decided not to do that, you are not the only one who missed fights, but do you still want to be in the prediction competition?
Possible, but bear in mind he was in hospital for 2 nights, concussion was very mild, he is out now, is well as far as I know, but the problem was at the back of the head, so you have to question if he should continue.
lol is chill I forgot.
Dubois is so one dimensional it is stunning, he will maul people like gorman but someone whos big enough to win a trade up with him or quick and clever enough on the backfoot will just embarass this guy
here's a prediction: Dubois remains a feature in the division but loses several times due to his one dimensionalness, probably to any of the great backfoot boxers and outside fighters.
Hopefully he gets plantpotted tho it would be way funnier.
That's fine, I'll remind you again.
I can't disagree enough, I just can't, I think he is the most impressive prospect in the UK, maybe not in the world, but in the UK. I think Dubois is fundamentally solid, definitely improving, he can punch. Do you not think we'll see more from him when he steps up his opposition and we see that brought out of him? Because Golovkin didn't show us that great jab, or his back foot boxing ability until he stepped up, why wouldn't a fighter look one dimensional when they only need one dimension? The Gorman fight was a 50/50, my prediction was an embarrassment, Dubois made that a mismatch just like all his other fights, look at the level of Lartey, Dubois didn't respect his power, that's why he had a shoot out. Dubois has won every round in his career, he hasn't struggled more as he's stepped up, he still won every round against Lartey, so criticising him for that fight is like criticising Canelo for the Kirkland fight, because that was fairly similar.
We'll hopefully see who's right, fair play to you if you are right, but I definitely think Dubois is the best prospect at heavyweight.
Haha, I respect your opinions always my G, but I feel that Tony Yoka is above most right now. I actually consider him good enough to compete with elites NOW.
I disagree Canelo was Kirklands complete boss for the whole situation, Lartey had dubois bumble bee BUZZED a few times in there bro, I cant ignore this.
Will try my best to remember the competition next time.
Likewise man. Ok, but based on only the Dimitrenko fight?, because he is still a very inexperienced professional, has a lot to prove like the other prospects.
He was, but so was Dubois, did he lose a round to Lartey on your card? I need to watch the whole fight because I've only seen the highlights, but I've not heard he was rocked against Lartey, and if he didn't lose a round, which he didn't on any card on here, he must have hurt Lartey worse in the very round he was hurt.
Great!
Also, do you think you will start scoring fights any time soon?
I think I'll score the Chisora Price fight next week.
Also watch dubois lartey closely he was ROCKED bro
Did he lose a round in your opinion? I will watch it, I'm nto convinced he got rocked as bad as it seemed to you because he won every round on every card on here. I'll watch it and let you know later what I thought of the fight, but based on the Gorman fight, he is the best prospect in heavyweight boxing and has the potential to be the best in the division, he has a lot to prove, but I'll tab Dubois to be a great fighter.

I don't think he was rocked, he just lost his balance, felt the shot, Lartey got his respect to say the least, but his legs were beneath him, and don't you think if he was rocked, Lartey would been able to build on that right hand he landed? I'm not Dubois, but I don't he was hurt bad if even hurt, and his chin was tested there, because it was a great shot.
Yeah. I think he struggles with temper control sometime, getting dragged into brawls because he's still got so much testosterone in him at a young age.
I just reckon if he slugs with people like that at a high level it could leave him in big bother.
Imagine if that was Whyte's left hook. He'd be sleeping with the fishes.
I don't think it's as much temper control as just a lack of patience. I think he will learn to be more channelled in the ring.
Well his chin seemed to hold up very well to me against Lartey, Lartey is not the most dangerous out there, I agree on that. It is a valid point that Dubois can't leave easy openings like that against more dangerous opponents, but I don't see any reason to think he will keep slugging as he moves up through the levels, he has great footwork, great balance (apart from when he took that right hand), solid jab, does the basics very well, and I don't think he's defensively bad, hasn't shown great defence, but his defence hasn't been properly tested.
Joshua got hurt but recovered, had the survival skill, Parker got up and recovered, so I don't think you can say Dubois would be sparked until his recovery, survival is tested, but I agree if Dubois got hit with that shot now, before he has matured, he wouod be in trouble, and it's unlikely he wouldn't get hurt by that shot even in his prime, Parker has a granite chin, took Ruiz and Joshua's power well, and Whyte put him down clean.
Parker has the best chin in the division thats why. That shot knocks 90% of the the top 100 out
In my humble opinion The shot on AJ was about 40 percent of the power he can get into a hook.
His chin is why he wasn't down in the first place against Joshua, he's still the only opponent not to be dropped or stopped by AJ. Against Whyte, it was more Parker's ability to recover, his fitness, and although most fighters have this, it was also his heart and his will to win, the commentary from Froch and Bellew was disgusting, making out like Parker was scared to engage, and Nelson saying Parker is an on top fighter, he is not, I hate the way Parker is treated in this country, I was looking forward to seeing him batter big mouth Chisora. Sorry for the rant, gone off topic, but I remember being very disappointing with the commentary, and them shutting up about Parker not taking risks after getting dropped, how Chisora has the nerve to accuse Parker of 'cholking', when he got up off the deck to put Whyte down, and Chisora couldn't move after taking that shot, is a disgrace.
Very hard to put a percentage on it, but I would say it was more than that, Joshua was hurt bad, but Whyte couldn't sustain his attack, gassed after 3 rounds, that was a great fight though, great domestic scrap, both hurt, ended in a KO.
Anyway whats your thoughts on who JP should fight next?
Who should Rivas fight?
Hrgovic vs Molina?
Ruiz AJ 2 prediction?
Huck vs Joyce?
Parker vs Rivas is possible, but Parker might also fight the winner of Chisora vs Price, or even Usyk. Rivas might go back to fighting in Canada for the time being, I don't know who he should fight.
Molina is well past his best, but it's still a slight step up for Hrgovic, hopefully he gets a better opponent next, but he's fighting on the biggest card of the year, so nkt bad experience for him.
I think Joshua wins this time, and fairly comfortably on the cards, I think he is too good a fundamental boxer, too good at using his jab to keep it on the outside, and he will too many early rounds, won't give away his reach this time, won't lead with a power shot, will set combinations up with the jab, won't try to fight his way out of trouble, and if he doesn't make these mistakes, boxes well, finds the balance between being too defensive and reckless, he beats Ruiz.
Joke, in my opinion, Joyce and his team are a joke, he struggled against Jennings, the only good opponent of his career, and now he's going back to cherry picking, fighting an old, small Huck. Just my opinion, I'm not trying to discourage you from neing a Joyce fan, but I'm certainly not a fan of Joyce.
You?
Parker vs Chisora then Usyk and Rivas I like.
Got Hrgovic in 8 probably.
Same. Joshua PTS decision.
Joyce's team are a load of trolls but Joyce is a great figher imo
What do you think of Jacobs CHavez
Parker fights Chisra then he fights Usyk and Rivas?
I think earlier
We'll see if he's a great fighter, but I'm not sold.
For a start, if it still even happens, because there have been issues with testing. It's a good fight, I think Jacobs is a level above Chavez, it's Jacobs's first title fight or 12 round fight at 168, but it's probably his natural weight class, might give Chavez some confidence, encourage him to fight his fight, but he has no chance if he does what he did against Canelo. If Chavez doesn't try to make it an inside fight, Jacobs easily shuts him out like Canelo did, if Chavez tries his best to make it an inside fight, he gets stopped late, but it's a good fight. You?
Sorry for repeat Post.
Hopefully Jacobs smashes him to bits tbh. Love DJ and I Think Chavez gets washed on the outside but on inside it really competitve to be fair. Jacobs points seven or eight rounds X.
YEah I think all those fights winnable for PARKER by the way. TEAM PARKER
I don't think the Usyk fight is, but the rest are. It will be interesting to see how Usyk deals with heavyweights, he was solid against Witherspoon, but he needs a tougher test.
