Re: Errol Spence Jr vs Danny Garcia
This is going to be a shit fight probably on a shit PPV with this shit headlining. Really this is just one last big payday for Danny. There's a slim chance that Errol will not be the same after the accident from last year. That is always a possibility in which case then Danny could be dangerous and even pull off the upset. BUT, until then, I will give Errol the full benefit of the doubt. My prediction Errol wins this by a clear UD but not lopsided maybe 116-112ish on all 3 judges give or take.

Re: Errol Spence Jr vs Danny Garcia
Prediction.
I think Spence's style will be altered because of the damage of the accident, I think we'll see more lateral movement from him, less shots thrown, but more accuracy, I don't think his reflexes or his timing are the same, but I hope I'm wrong. Spence has been training since February, started camp a lot lighter than the camp for Porter, his fitness will be better than in the past, and if his output is slightly lower, he'll be able to keep up his movement for longer. I think Spence's movement will allow him to keep transferring the power to each side, so he'll generate his natural power without being static. I think Spence's basic defence will be better, he will start slower in fights, be more wary of his opponent's power, but break down his opponent with more educated pressure, use his size advantage more.
I think this will be a good fight. I think Spence will throw fewer, harder jabs in the early rounds, than usual, will push Garcia back and aim to gradually walk him down, Garcia will throw more power shots than Spence even off the back foot, but he won't be accurate, will be on the end of Spence's jab, and Spence will always catch up when Garcia tries adjustments with his feet. I think Spence will box mostly from the left side of Garcia, so Garcia will struggle to land his left hook, but I think he'll land the counter right as Spence throws the left, hurt Spence quite bad, but I see Spence being calm, clinching, using his strength, fighting his way out of trouble, doing damage on the inside, and Garcia will struggle to build on it. I think Spence will have more in the tank after 6 rounds, will be patient, keep Garcia under pressure, will keep up his blocking, won't stay behind the jab, I think Garcia will look for the counter left hook off the back foot, but Spence will knock him out with a counter right hook.
I think Spence knocks Garcia out in 7 rounds, the cards will be close.

Re: Errol Spence Jr vs Danny Garcia
Spence's reflexes are still there, he telegraphed shots, his reactive movement was great, his speed in hand and foot has improved a lot, he used more pivots than before, and it was the best I've seen from him after 8 rounds, but he didn't look as good in the late rounds, I don't think his resistance is there, the accidental headbutt seemed to affect him, he absorbed the shot whenever he took the right hand, but I think it left an after affect on the brain, the scar tissue was clear during the introductions, and he seemed to mark up easily during the fight. The right to the body was great from Garcia, he did damage with the counter right hand, and he didn't come apart when Spence was unloading, but he couldn't deal with the jab, the combinations, or the movement of Spence.

I think Crawford personally, but they're the top 2, I hope Crawford signs with Haymon now the Top Rank contract is up, and we see the fight next year.

Re: Errol Spence Jr vs Danny Garcia
A lot of bias in these scorecards. Danny won at least four rounds.
There were a few close rounds, and Danny had the edge in POWER, so I gave him those rounds. Danny also won a couple rounds clean.

I'm going to have to disagree on that one.

We're watching different fights mate. Clear win for Spence imo. Danny having the edge in power? Nah. Some of his counter shots look cleaner in some respects but don't carry more power than Spence's.

Re: Errol Spence Jr vs Danny Garcia
Ok guys, I've just got up from having to have a lie down after reading that someone thought Danny won that fight.
Agree with Champ (as usual) I thought Spence was very good for the first 8 rounds. I really think Danny Garcia is a good fighter, he's an excellent counter puncher but Spence was too sharp early in the fight to get caught. Fighting on the front foot against Danny, landing shots and getting out quick enough to avoid those sharp counters takes some serious skill. Spence's versatility is underrated. He can fight on the front foot going in and out, fight long like against Mikey, fight inside ripping those body shots. He's pretty much got it all.
However, I did spot a few things that Terrance Crawford may be licking his lips over. Firstly, I saw surprised how many belly button shots Danny was able to land and also why Spence took TWO consecutive rounds off in 9 and 10. I can't recall seeing Spence take rounds off before.
As much as I like Danny as a fighter I do think he's a little one dimensional. He's always looking to draw those leads and counter but what does he do when the other guy is too smart and too sharp for that? This is Danny's problem. He needs to have more of a plan B and just let his hands go. Round 9 was a perfect example, Spence pretty much took it off and Danny still didn't win the round clearly because he was waiting.
Summary - Spence showed he's still brilliant but one or two areas there for possible concern.
