Credit to Martin for this huge upset. Very few thought he would win, but it must be said Mickey looked terrible. Martin dictated the terms of engagement with good defense and counters while Mickey was very inaccurate, basic, and never stepped on the gas. He was content to put his hand up after the rounds like in the Spence fight. Martin should get a big opportunity off of this but Mickey's form was not that of a top fighter or a legitimate welterweight. You have to wonder if he will retire, he's been a part-time fighter. If so he's disappointed compared to his potential.
