Re: Carl Froch vs. George Groves II
The main difference between this fight and the first fight was the battle of the jabs, Groves was busy and fast with the jab in both fights, Froch's jab was poor in the first fight, and Groves out jabbed him easily, but in the rematch, Froch threw his jab with a lot more purpose, and the jab battle was more interesting, Groves landed more and faster, but Froch landed counter jabs which were harder. I think Froch's jab was more effective than Groves this time, because even though Groves landed his jab, he wasn't stopping Froch implementating his game plan, whereas Froch was able to stop Groves in his tracks with the jab, it negated Groves's offence at times, and it backed him up.
I think the fight was very close for as long as it lasted, whenever Groves landed combinations and caught Froch coming in, he had success, he would have done better if he'd not tried to fight Froch's fight, and not looked for a big single shot as often, but his defence was very good overall.
I don't think Groves had the right game plan, I think he put all his eggs in one basket, was not only looking for a knock out, but looking for a particular shot, I think he expected Froch to be well prepared for the right hand, and tried to replace it with the left hook, rather than be varied, he seemed to be throwing the jab to the body, but I think he was trying to disguise his left hook, and bring it up as a screw shot, he landed it in round 7, Froch didn't see it coming, but he should have thrown his right hand more often, because the opening was still there, and he shouldn't have gone looking for a knock out, as the fighter with the much weaker chin, but far more speed.
It was a great KO set up from Froch, he was patient, was mentally better than in the first fight, didn't get frustrated by Groves's speed and defence, he was a step ahead of Groves, used the left hook to take his mind away from the right hand, and landed a hard, well timed, accurate shot which knocked Groves out cold, Groves did well to get up, but he was gone, and the fight was already over.

Re: Carl Froch vs. George Groves II
Groves gave Froch all he wanted in both Fights and now that I look at it played apart in Froch's retirement thinking process cause I know Froch knows it better Boxers than him and Groves in the division.
