Boxing as a sport

Boxing needs to be very careful with it's crooked judging and giving these decisions to the poster children when they clearly lose. Fans are going to get enough one day and you wont be able to get anyone to watch the fixed outcome of these contest. Clean up the judging or expect to fade into obscurity, boxing has had it's down time but if they don't get a little more honest in their decisions it will be laughed off the sports venues and relegated into the world of wwe or wwf wrestling, scripted, fixed and not worth watching unless your a moron.

Re: Boxing as a sport

First off, welcome to Eye on the ring, scoring and civil but honest discussion, that is what we are about!

It is terrible when the judges get it wrong, sometimes it is through incompetence, sometimes it is through corruption, but there are a lot of them. Some of the worst scores I have encountered, that infuriating 114-114 card from C.J. Ross after Mayweather boxed Canelo's ears off in what seemed to me to be no closer than 9-3, I actually had it 11-1, one of Mayweather's best performances for me, maybe The best. That judge who scored Hopkins vs Shumenov in favour of Shumenov, recently, Ryoto Murata, robbed blind against N'Dam, Lewis vs Holyfield, Rios vs Abril, the list goes on.

I have some ideas of how to stop this madness with the scoring system in boxing, I would love to dicuss this in further detail if you would like.

Re: Boxing as a sport

I would really like to hear your thoughts are improving the flaws of scoring system in boxing.

Re: Boxing as a sport

I've always thought judges should have to specify their scoring for each and every round of a fight.

Re: Boxing as a sport

The one of Mayweather's best performances for me, maybe The best. I liked!

Re: Boxing as a sport

Judges should have a TV monitor by now to score fights, wouldn't you think ?

Re: Boxing as a sport

All boxing fans around the world are super excited to see their hot favorite Amir Khan step back in the ring for a feisty fight against Samuel Vargas. This blog is specifically articulated for that particular audience who cannot be present at the venue to experience the action in person. What they can do with complete ease is watch Amir Khan vs Samuel Vargas online for an experience just as good. Catch live action on any device that you own from anywhere in the world, with complete ease.

Re: Boxing as a sport

Clown, stupid spammer, what do you gain from this?
Nobody gives a monkey's about Khan, this week is not about him in his easy fight, it is about Garcia vs Porter, and it's about SuperFly 3.

Re: Boxing as a sport

Thank you, the only thing good about Khan being with Matchroom now is we might finally get to see Khan vs Brook. Though 5 years too late and at least 3-4 years past both fighters best.

Re: Boxing as a sport

I hate all the Khan hype, so he stopped a guy Porter and Spence already whooped, and now he is fighting a guy who couldn't win a round or last 7 against Garcia and Spence, how can we take him seriously as a top fighter when he fights guys who have already been beaten by his rivals?, and couldn't win rounds against them.

Any boxing fan will give Khan vs Vargas a watch, thinking, meh, it's on, I'll see it, but the excitement is around the two bills in the US, SuperFly and a 50/50 fight boxing fans have wanted to see for years.

Re: Boxing as a sport

Khan vs Vargas is nothing more than a final tuneup before Khan fights Brook or Pacquiao. I'll watch though because I always do.

Re: Boxing as a sport

100% I will watch it as well, worth the watch, but meh, I wouldn't go to a lot of trouhle not to miss the start, I wouldn't pay an extra fiver to watch it, good thing it isn't PPV. I would pay probably £30 to see Garcia vs Porter!, I can't wait for that fight.
