what do you think of joe joyce?

Re: joe joyce

Much better than you say, but not as good as he has looked in past fights, too old to gain the experience he needs without age catching up to him before can really peak and hit his full potential.

Re: joe joyce

he is not too bad but he is overrated by many

Re: joe joyce

Allow me to copy and paste my post from the stiverne fight:

Well I got to be honest fellas, on that performance I think Joyce is overrated. He's too amateurish still. I appreciate he hasn't been pro all that long but at 33 he needs to learn quickly. He's far to open to shots for a heavyweight. Fortunately for him Stiverne isn't a big puncher because he got tagged with a couple of huge shots in the 1st round.

When he steps up in class to face a serious opponent I think he gets knocked out.

On the plus side:
- good boxing skills
- excellent chin
- fantastic workrate and stamina

Re: joe joyce

I think he is very overrate he is so slow

Re: joe joyce

I think speed is the least of his worries. Poor defence and lack of power in the heavyweight division is a recipe for getting knocked out.

Re: joe joyce

I think that he is powerful he doesn't has that one punch power but his shots are very heavy but it's true he has no defence at all

Re: joe joyce

Heavy shots...really? Respectfully disagree mon aime. He doesn't turn his body into the shots. It's difficult to throw that kind of output and be powerful at the same time. He needs to pick his shots more in my opinion.

Re: joe joyce

he is not able to pick his shots in amater my countryman has reveled joyce's witnesses

Re: joe joyce

Weaknesses? I haven't seen much of Yoka so can't really comment.

Re: joe joyce

The reason the shots weren't heavy is because he carried Stiverne, if you think back, he would land one shot which would hurt Stiverne, and follow it up with RELATIVELY light punches, just trying to inflict pain more than anything else, and that was because his priority was to torture Stiverne, not make a statement.

Re: joe joyce

I agree but why did he do this?

Re: joe joyce

Personal nonsense with Stiverne, and the fact that he wasn't preoccupied with the job he was supposed to be doing, which is boxing well, sticking to a plan, and taking every good opportunity you can, shows what a terrible match up this was.

Re: joe joyce

yoka is munch better than joyce

Re: joe joyce

joyce's fans compare him to foreman
