A fight everyone wanted to see, who do you guys think who have won it. Prime Vs. Prime. I would pick Kovalev in 7! To good technically, as well as the power to hurt and keep Stevenson off of him.

I think Kovalev, both devastating punchers, both got vulnerabilities, both fighters who gas after 6 rounds, Stevenson definitely had more speed and was more explosive, and I think he had better variety, but Kovalev is a better counter puncher, timing beats speed, that jab, not just as a point scorer, but how he uses it to control the distance and set up the right hand. I think Kovalev would have either stopped Stevenson late or beat him by UD, but Buddy McGirt would tell him to be cautious and just box, not take risks, for 6 rounds, because with Stevenson's speed and combinations, he might have been more dangerous in the ealry rounds. It is a shame the fight never happened, Stevenson proved to be a warrior in his last 2 fights, but in all liklihood, he did duck Kovalev.
Not disagreeing with what you are saying but if you are talking about when that fight was being discussed John David Jackson was Kovalev's trainer. As far as I know, there were a bunch of network/promotional issues that contributed to the fight not happening which is a shame because it would have been a great matchup.
I know they fought on different channels, but a fight like that doesn't have to be ruled out because if the teams can work together. It's not a fact that Stevenson ducked Kovalev, but it seems likely, he flat out dodged questions about Kovalev and talked about fighting Hopkins or Froch, it seems likely he ducked Alvarez as well, but whether he was guilty of ducking or not, he's a warrior, he proved that against Jack, was running on empty for the laat 6 rounds of the fight, was on the edge of being stopped, I thought he did enough to win that fight.
Can you add Denis Shafikov vs Miguel Vazquez, Shafikov Vs Rene Alvarado and Shafikov vs gaybatulla gadzhialiev
Done
Kovalev would have KOd him imo
Just a better boxer, especially in his prime. That jab and straight right along with the 1-2-1 would have been too much
Sergey Kovalev by late stoppage.
Kovalev KO7-10
I'd have taken Stevenson actually, to destroy him with the left hand in the later rounds. OFC Kovalev could easily knock him out.
Kovalev in 5 rounds
Definitely Kovalev. It was a travesty they never fought. Good to hear that Adonis is making a good recovery.
