The kid seems to have a shaky crowd he runs with, and a lot of his posts on socials are when he seems very inebriated. I hope that isn't the case, and he and his career end up okay, and that this is merely a wake up call for him. Would hate to see a career and/or life cut short like that.
I've heard that as well. Hoping for the best in his career as it seems he's going to pull through but it doesn't seem good.
I once witnessed an accident similar to this, driver was going 100mph in a 60 zone, his car was in similar condition to Spence's, but he got off with a broken collarbone, same injury I sustained from falling down the stairs at 1 year old, very lucky man, Spence wouldn't be intensive care if his injuries weren't more serious, he wasn't wearing a seatbelt, the driver I saw go off the road was, probably what broke his collarbone, but seatbelts are to be worn at all times.
I don't think any commission should give him a licence assuming he has a major concussion, of course it depends on the severity, and Crolla came back after a fractured skull to win a world title, Pazienza came back after a broken neck, but those are incredible stories for a reason, and it seems likely his boxing career is over, but what's important is that he survives without major brain damage, does home safe to his family.
DiBella is saying he is in better shape than you'd think and he should be able to make a full recovery but even if he boxes again it seems unlikely he'll be able to reach his peak level again.
Saw an associate of his trying to dispel that he was drinking, but I hear he had posts on Instagram last night of him and friends at a night club...Hope he's okay, but can't imagine he walked away unscathed without some sort of serious injury, given the speed he was driving and that his car flipped 4-5 times, and without wearing a seatbelt.
Yeah, a local news guy is saying he could get charged with DWI, but that may just be speculation. The security footage is gnarly, he's lucky to have survived that let alone supposedly not being in that bad of shape. If he boxes again hopefully it is a wake-up call for him that he needs to live the life to reach his potential.
The ESPN article I read said he was also thrown from the car. 3am, posts on Instagram from the nightclub crashing over the median in a single car crash. Doesn't sound good, he lucky to be alive, I know it's still speculation, but given that the rumors are Erroll is a heavy partier you have to think he was drunk.
Just saw a Tweet from a Dallas TV news guy who also posted a few angles of footage of the wreck. May have gotten out with bumps and bruises, and some broken teeth.

PBC officially stated he didn't break or fracture any bones, just got cut up. He got incredibly lucky.
Like we said, if nothing else, and the reports are true, hopefully this will be a wake up call about how to change his lifestyle. Too much talent and too young for that to all end over something preventable.
