spinks/holmes ll underrated classic?

This fight is considered one of the most controversial, yet the fight itself is overlooked. There weren't many great heavyweight title fights in the 80's,so maybe this is the best one.It has everything a great fight should have, controversy, major ebbs and flows, and spinks was the big underdog again.Looking back on the fight recently,i forgot how entertaining this bout was.I had the fight even going into the 15th,and i only gave spinks the final round with his final three punch combo at the end. This had to be one of the closest fights ever! Does anyone else think this is an overlooked gem?

i just was never that excited about michael spinks as a heavyweight... he was a natural light heavy, beat holmes twice very controversially, was finally forced to fight a prime tyson, and then got blasted out in like a minute

his fight against dwight braxton is probably my favorite michael spinks fight

Thanks for posting this, you've piqued my interest. To this day I never saw the rematch but now that I'm hooked on scoring thanks to EOTR, it's on my list of fights to score to settle in my mind once and for all who I think really won these fights rather than just accept common opinion which is often based on observers who don't take the time to evaluate the ENTIRE round. Ali-Norton III is a perfect example of people who disagree with official scoring because they're swayed one or two exceptional power punches in the round that get reinforced by slow-motion replays, biased commentary as well as their own biases.
