This is what happens when you let Algieri out of the cage.

Agreed. Algieri just proved that he is simply not ready for the big time. Make no mistake he is a good and smart boxer, he just simply doesn't know all of the tricks that Manny (who has been boxing for decades) does. You got to love Algieri's corner though, Algieri gets knocked down twice, "That was beautiful! Chris we're exactly where we want to be right now." Its just kind of funny.

How many knockdowns did you think we're real? I actually think that the Algieri corner did exact right thing by being positive, they didn't panic, there is no shame in losing to the best in the world, I think if they had put pressure on him then he would have lost more enphatically. Wilder vs Stiverne next week, who wins that. I can't put my finger on it but I can see Stiverne upsetting Wilder in a devastating KO. I don't know about you but I can see Bam Bam Rios getting revenge over Alvarado later this month, I think Rios would have stopped Chavez had the fight continued and Alvarado lost very badly to Provodnikov before looking terrible against Marquez.

Oh make no mistake I have no problem with staying positive and I disagree with this card in the sense that he gave Manny the knockdown in the second round. I'm just saying that in general when one fighter is doing bad his corner will say, "That was bullshit! What the hell was that! You're blowing it!" stuff like that. And Algieri despite taking one of the worst beatings that I've seen in a while his corner still said, "Good job Chris! See that jab! Love that jab! Looking beautiful!" That's just all I'm saying its a break from what we're used to.

As for Wilder and Stiverne I predict Wilder stunning Stivern early, before tiring and get his lights knocked out in the 7th round.

Also got to go with Rios on this one. There isn't much shame in losing to Marquez and also Rios looked terrible against Marquez's rival last year Manny. So it could really go either way. I think Alvarado might be slowing down a tad and Rios hasn't shown signs of it yet. I predict after ten rounds of back and forth boxing Rios will win in the 11th round despite being behind on 2 of the three scorecards.

That is a spysific prediction, I totally agree about Wilder and Stiverne. I think that Manny has always liked eating Marquez's punches and brushing them off, I think Marquez was cheating in their fourth fight, to be honest I believe Manny is a class above Marquez and always has been but Marquez is stylistically wrong for him because Manny is big on his combos and is easy to counter if are as fast and thunderous as Marquez, I just think Manny could have done better each time. Trust me there is more shame in losing to Marquez than to Pacquiao. I think Pacquiao suffered against Marquez because he got close and threw massive, cocktail bursts too many times, he gave Marquez chances to use his advantage, Mayweather was different because he made the fight boring.

I can't believe Tyson Fury has been given Christian Hammer, he really is being under challenged as always. I don't know about you but I can't wait for Eubank vs Chudinov. I don't know if I have asked you this before but what is your opinion in Murray vs Golovkin? I think Martin can win but it will be very tough.

With respect I'm not a big tyson fury fan I don't really even consider him a top 10 heavyweight. I hope that Haye can come back and KO his ass. And as for Golovkin vs Murray I got Golovkin by 4th round KO. Golovkin is about to unleash a reign of terror on the middle weight division like we have never seen.

Finally I have something to bang I about. Look man, I know Fury comes across as a bit if a dick but love him or hate you got to admit he is a great fighter, David Hayes would have no chance against Fury, I'll tell you why. Fury has much better stamina than haha, as he has proved in the past, he is probably physically stronger, he has a longer and faster jab, he fight great in both stances, he has a devastating right hand and I know every fighter says this but Fury would definitely die in the ring, there is no quit in him as he has proved, Hayes has a bad chin, when you piece all this together you see what I mean. Did you watch his last fight, schooling and battering the new and improved Derek Chisora in a stance that isn't even his stance, Chisora wasn't half the fighter against Klitschko he was against Fury the second time, Chisora gave Klitschko a great fight I gave him 4 rounds and he was stopped and anialated by Fury, you couldn't give him a round, think if how much success Chisora had a gains Haye. I could spend all day telling the reasons why Tyson Fury can beat Wladimir, what a pussy is Wladimir who has been running away from Tyson for years. Having said all this you are entitled to your own opinion and from what I've seen you are a good judge so I'm sure you have a reason for putting Fury below your top 10.

As for Golovkin vs Murray how much do you know about Murray? Golovkin has almost inhuman power but nothing much else, me is often made to look better than he really is. Murray has proved to be world class many times. Look at what he did to Sergio Martinez, I would consider Martinez better than Golovkin.

No you haven't asked about Golovkin vs Murray. Personally I have to go with Golovkin but I do think that his knockout streak will end. I think Murray actually is a really good boxer and while it typically gets ignored he has never officially been defeated. Many think that he beat Felix Sturm and Sergio Martinez, but do to some questionable judging and referee decisions that didn't happen. I do think that GGG's onslaut will be a little bit too much for Murray, but I picture GGG getting hit a fair amount of times, and also I think Murray's defence is superior to GGG. I'm going to go with GGG winning a 117-111, 116-112, and 118-110 decision.

Champion97's picture

If you think that then fair enough, you could well be right but I just think that if he can apply what he did against Martinez then he can beat Golovkin, I think it will be a UD, Golovkin has shit defence, I really think that Marines is better than Golovkin.

I honestly believe Stiverne will KO Wilder by the 5th or 6th round. Wilders chin hasn't really been tested so we don't know. But I hope i am wrong and he can't pull it off. Also I believe Rios win by UD or Late round Stoppage. Alvarados past his prime and not the same.

Agreed completely. I believe that a lot of Wilders knockout came because of simply who he's been fighting. If you look at his resume it consists mostly of cab drivers.

Honestly I could say maybe there were 3 or 4 legit knockdowns. But it wouldn't have mattered Manny was just to skilled and overwhelmed Chris. As for Wilder vs. Stiverne Its a hard fight to call. I would want to see Wilder win but my only problem is that Wilders chin has not been tested while Stiverne has a iron chin and will take it to give it. Maybe if Wilder can use is height and reach he might have a chance.I really hope Wilder can win so we will know if he's able to live up to the hype. My honest prediction is probably Stiverne by 5 KO.(Believe me I hope I am wrong) And for Rios Alvarado I pick Rios mainly because Rios seems hungrier and I think wants it more. Alvarado doesn't seem like the same fight he was in there first fight. Prediction Rios by UD or late round KO.
