Round 1- Following his second defeat, Manny Pacquiao moves up to Super Bantamweight to take on Reynante Jamili for the minor WBC International title. It’s worth noting that Jamili lost his “0” to Chatchai Sasakul (the man that Pacquiao got won first title from), and suffered his most recent defeat by 6th round TKO to Pacquio’s future rival, Erik Morales. The taller and longer Jamili is doing well with the jab, but Pacquaio is able to get inside a few times to dig to the body. Pacquiao also lands some right hooks from the outside, which I believe give him an edge in the round.
Round 2- Jamili seems content to trade early, which proves to be his downfall. A hard overhand left flattens Jamili, who does not look like he will beat the count. When he does, Pacquiao goes for the kill, but Jamili stays composed. Another overhand left from Pacquiao drops him to his knees. Soon after, Pacquiao puts him down a third time with a sharp left cross-right hook combo, forcing the 3-knockdown rule and for his corner to throw in the towel. Good comeback win for PacMan.
