Judges unanimous for Ruiz but he should have been DQ'd for clutching after every punch. An awful fight, Golota did what he could but faded late. Norman Stone, Ruiz' trainer, was ejected by poor referee Randy Newman, who should have received combat pay for dealing with this terrible fight and the profane insults of Stone. Ruiz was one of our worst heavyweight champions, glad he was beaten by David Tua and Roy Jones Jr.
