Comments

A very questionable decision according to most of observers (including the attendance in Vegas and the interviewer). I do have Valenzuela winning. But I don't see it as a robbery because I have a very close scorecard (5 rounds each, the knockdown making the difference) and I am almost the only one giving round 4 to Valenzuela so I can totally understand a 95-94 decision for Colbert. Anyway it was supposed to be a fight to help one or the other fighter bounce back after their first loss in career. Now it is almost as if we have two losers : Valenzuela have now lost twice in a row so his career is frozen. And Colbert has shown he is not a very classy man when he reacts by provocation and insults after his very close (and questionable) win, so his image is degraded, while it was good so far with him arbouring colorful outfits to promote fights against illness and other causes. And has already announced he will go back in his previous weight category, making this fight his only appearance at that weight level, not a very useful move in his career.
