Re: Dillian Whyte vs Jermaine Franklin
Whyte UD 99-91 two cards, 98-92 one card - Franklin isn’t on Whyte’s level

Re: Dillian Whyte vs Jermaine Franklin
This is really Dillian Whyte's last stand in the Heavyweight division. Coming off his brutal KO loss to Tyson Fury in his long awaited title change this past Spring it's really do or die for the perrenial contender.
Whyte has always shown himself to be an upper level heavyweight, but has really shown that he's not quite at the level of the elite heavyweights when sorely tested. He's shown one consistent weakness his whole career: The Uppercut. Joshua stopped him with it, Rivas dropped him with it, and both Povetkin and Fury ended his night with it. It's a recurring problem for the man yet he's not taken the steps to correct it. He's always vulnerable to that one punch and always leaves himself open for it. It's become a hole in his defenses that I think a lot of fighters are becoming more aware of (Including his opponent who posted a mongage of his uppercuts in preparation for his bout with Dillian Whyte). It really shows a lack of ring IQ for this contender, which will always give him trouble at the highest level.
That being said, his opponent Jermaine Franklin has not yet proven himself at the top level. Although 21-0 with 14 KOs, Franklin finds himself only ranked by the WBO, and even there only ranked #12. Dillian Whyte will be by far the best opponent Franklin's ever found himself in the ring with, whose best wins prior to Whyte were Joureymen/gatekeepers Rydell Booker and Jerry Forrest. That being said, we don't quite know how good he is yet and a win against Whyte will show us just where he stands.
Whyte's certainly the favorite, but heavyweight is the division of upsets, and Franklin is somebody you can't count out just yet.

I think Whyte by Round 7 KO.
However, if Franklin can throw a good uppercut then I could see the upset happening.

Re: Dillian Whyte vs Jermaine Franklin
So many heavyweight fights are mediocre, and this one, while close, was just a slight cut above that. It was primarily a series of flurries and counter flurries without a lot of power from either side. Whyte hit harder, but never really hurt Franklin, although he wore him down and won the 12th round big. Franklin threw 3-4 effective combinations each round, had his moments, but his lack of power allowed Whyte to burrow in and work the inside. I had Whyte 115-113; a better 12th round from Franklin and it could have been a draw. Franklin also seemed flabby -- perhaps better training could have made him quicker and more elusive. Not sure were either fighter goes from here.
