Re: Frankie Gavin vs. Bradley Skeete
This was the best performance of Frankie Gavin's career in my opinion. I thought Skeete would beat Gavin, I thought he could use his height, reach, force the pace, take over down the stretch, win comfortably, the first round was fantastic from Skeete, but the next few rounds told a very different story, Gavin was fantastic, he out worked, out boxed Skeete, negated Skeete's use of his reach advantage, master class performance from Gavin. I think Skeete did well in this fight, he didn't just disappear from the fight after round 1, he made it close in the second half, had his moments, made it competitive throughout, challenged Gavin throughout, close fight I think. Seete, physically, I think had trained to work harder than this, I think he had quite a few more rounds in the tank, but you can't win a boxing fight with stamina, pace, fitness you can't use, Gavin wasn't on Skeete's level athleticism wise, but he was easily fit enough to win this fight, he controlled the pace for the majority of the fight. This was a very 'boring' fight, no fan who just likes a good fight, and not a battle of tactics so much, enjoyed this fight, but for boxing purists, it was a very interesting fight to watch. I think this fight was great experience for Skeete, and Gavin, well it was his best win, maybe Junior Witter was a bigger name, but I think this was a better victory.
I think Skeete would beat Gavin now, in a one sided way, it was a necessary potential fight, but I think the rematch is unlikely to happen now.

Re: Frankie Gavin vs. Bradley Skeete
You could see them, working with their brains, thinking about what they'd done in the gym, especially Bradley Skeete, he was thinking, "stick to the plan, stick to my tactics", and you could see Gavin trying to think, "let me draw the lead of him, try to work out what he's doing". You could see their brains working over, so in that way it was fascinating.
