Prediction,

Awesome match up! Always good to see a battle of the unbeatens, and always great to see a unification fight! This fight makes perfect sense, both champions, the other two champions are fighting in the WBSS final, and there are no better fights out there at 140 for either fighter.

I think this is a 50/50 fight, there are a few different ways of looking at it, you might favour the guy who's won everything over the guy who's got 3 draws on his record, but based on their last performances, Hooker is on better form, he was great against Saucedo, I didn't see his last fight, but I know it was one sided, Ramirez ďidnt look great against Zepeda, it was a close fight, he got the win, but I expected better from him.

I think Hooker is the puncher in this fight, he has 59% KOs, Ramirez has 67%, which suggests otherwise, but I think Ramirez is more of a volume puncher, has enough power, but Hooker hits harder.

Hooker has more overall experience as a professional, and he is definitely at his best, Ramirez should have peaked at 24-0, 26, been 12 rounds 3 times, and fought the level off opposition he has fought in last 3 fights, but I think he still has some improvement ahead of him, has things he needs to work on, Hooker will never be a great fighter, but I think he is definitely as good as he will ever be. Hooker has had a few more professional fights than Ramirez, there isn't much in it, but he is the more experienced professional.

Hooker had over 90 amateur bouts, fair few, was the Dallas Regional Golden Gloves Champion, but Ramirez had a similar amount of bouts, was in the 2012 Olympics, made the top 16, was in the 2011 AIBA world championships, fought Lomachencko, so Ramirez has the better amateur pedigree.

I had Hooker to lose his last two fights, he proved me wrong twice, and against Saucedo, although he did get dropped, he did well in that fight, got the stoppage. Ramirez won a questionable decision against Zepeda, but I think Zepeda is underrated, he lost to Flanagan in 2 rounds, but he dislocated his shoulder, you have to take that into consideration to say the least, that's his only other loss, Zepeda, he is an experienced fighter, and although Saucedo was unbeaten, has been in great fights, is a talented fighter who can fight, can punch, good offensive fighter, he is a very poor defensive fighter. I think Zepeda would beat Saucedo, and I think with Hooker doing better than Ramirez is more about Saucedo's terrible defence, maybe being overrated if anything, and Zepeda being underrated.

This is a very tough one to call, but I think Ramirez wins, I think it will be a very competitive fight, but Ramirez wins.

I think Ramirez will be aggressive, apply pressure from the start, Hooker will use his jab, fire combinations off the back foot like he did against Saucedo, it will be a good fight, back and fourth action, Ramirez will land the heavier shots, land more, but Hooker will land the cleaner, sharper shots. I think the fight will be fought at a high tempo, there will be a lot of punches thrown, but Ramirez will be forcing the pace, making Hooker work hard.

I think the first half will be close, Hooker might hurt Ramirez, Ramirez can hurt Hooker, but although Ramirez has a good chin, he might not have a granite chin, and even if he does, he isn't the best defensive fighter, walks into punches, but I think if Hooker does hurt him, I don't think he can finish him, and if he empties his tank trying to, then going for the finish might do him more harm than good.

I think Ramirez will come on strong in the second half of the fight, take over, Hooker will fade, having taken a lot of draining punches to head and body, having been forced to work at a very high pace, and Ramirez will sustain his pressure, keep throwing punches in volume, and he will dominate rounds 8-10. I think both fighters will empty their tanks in the championship rounds.

I think Ramirez wins a UD, maybe just 115-113, but I think he will win.

What a fight, amazing drama packed into 6 rounds. Good stoppage too. I would love a rematch in the future!

Wow! What a fight! Stylistically a perfect match-up. Both fighters did great but Ramirez didn’t hesitate when the opportunity provided itself. Good stoppage! I am a bit befuddled on how to score that first round because it was clearly not a proper knockdown, but the judges must adhere to the calls made by the referee, so I scored it 10:9 for Ramirez, since it otherwise was a Hooker round. I’m glad that didn’t become a factor in deciding the winner. I’d love to see this one again!!! Fight of the year candidate in my humble opinion!

I still didn't see Farmer vs Frenois or Ladarius Miller Vs Corrales...

If anyone finds the full fights of those, can you hit me with a link?

Great performance from Ramirez. Ramirez out jabbed Hooker easily despite the reach, he was slipping inside when Hooker tried to pick him off at long range, Hooker struggled to set up his shots when he was on the ropes because Ramirez came in at angles. The fight was back and forth in terms of who was on the front foot, but Ramirez cut off the ring well when he was coming forward, and when he was backing up, he made adjustments with his feet, and Hooker couldn't sustain his pressure. Hooker did good work at mid range, threw combinations, shortened the right hand and got a good angle on it, did damage to the body,

It was a lack of survival skill from Hooker, but Ramirez proved to a great finisher. That was a good stoppage from the referee, Hooker was static and defenceles, the fight had to be stopped, unification fight or not.
