Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Lehlo Ledwaba
I believe was this Manny's first big fight, and this was on this night, when he became known in boxing, it seems lioe an eternity ago now, what a career he has had!

Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Lehlo Ledwaba
I could have swore this fight was on the Lewis vs Rahman 1 South African card, but that was Ledwaba. Who incidentally had a great showing that night in defending his title on HBO, and ironically was being built up by HBO to be one of their stars when he ran into Pacquiao in what was suppose to be a routine defense and a showcase for Ledwaba. How funny that Pac not only blew Ledwaba away but everyone else at HBO and at home, to the point that they showcased Manny in his next fight which turned out to be a stinker rough and tumble technical draw, when he was matched against hard-nosed (not above leading with his head instead of the jab Agapito Sanchez on Mayweathers undercard. Luckily for Pac, Tyson had become a big fan of Manny's and insisted he be in the Co-Main of his (super)fight against Lennox Lewis. Manny was sensational again, which put him on the road to stardom and a clash with at the time P4P #1 (at least according to The Ring Magazine and myself) Marco Antonio Barrera.

Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Lehlo Ledwaba
Interesting, these were the years when I was starting school, so I'd be lying if I said I had any memory of this career stage for Pacquiao. People forget Pacquiao's early blemishes, not surprising, but now, I really don't think Pacquiao has any reason to continue, I don't think he beats Porter, Garcia, Khan.

I don't really have one, I'm pretty sure almost all top rated boxers use them. If I had to guess Manny used them to blow through those weight divisions as well.

Seriously? GGG, Lomackenko, Crawford, Spence, Thurman, Wilder, you think they arevtaking drugs?, if so, then that's very sad.

Just saying it wouldn't surprise me, I could see GGG & Wilder of that group taking PED's. A large group on Boxing Forum 24 are always taking shots at Spence saying he uses's because (believe it or not) of the way his nipples look...They call it Gyno-something or other, and say it is a symptom of PED use.

I don't know much, but I know that forum is absolute shit. I trust that Spence is clean, and given that he's my favourite fighter, I very much hope I'm right.

It is littered with trolls to be sure, but there are many on there that are extremely knowledgeable and outstanding posters. That's why I still read it although I don't post much anymore, I do promote this site on there whenever there is a big fight.

Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Lehlo Ledwaba
Yep pretty clear 8 rounds to 4 maybe even 9-3 for Alvarez, although one judge had it a draw, the other 2 had it right with 116-112 & 117-111 scores.
I'm sorry to see that about your experience with that forum.

Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Lehlo Ledwaba
What a strange fight to watch given the perspective we now have. It's quite funny to hear the HBO commentators mess up Pacquiao's name and talk about how they'd like to see more of him. I don't believe many fighters in boxing history have come out of nowhere like Pacquiao and went on to accomplish what he did.
