Re: Angel Acosta vs Abraham Rodriguez
Prediction,
Angel Acosta is not well known, it is still difficult to build a reputation in boxing when you are so small, but I'm impressed, he is a world champion, he is coming off a lte stoppge over Carlos Buitrago, that was his first defence. Acosta has won all his wins by KO, he lost to Kosei Tanaka in May last year, but he recently beat Sho Kimura to become a world champion at 112, but apart from that, he has won all his fights by stoppage.
Rodriguez has a good record, 23-1, he lost earlier this year, in the fight before his last, against Alejandro Villasenor Hernandez (6-2), but before that, he beat Saul Juarez, that's a good win. Rodriguez is only 23, so he might not be ready for a world title fight, especially having lost earlier in the year, but he has had 24 fights.
Acosta is the more experienced fighter, he is in his prime, is the puncher by far, and he is the proven fighter at this level, Rodriguez's chin hasn't been tested, Mexican's usually walk through punches, but Acosta has top level power it seems.
I think Acosta stops Rodriguez in 8 rounds.

Re: Angel Acosta vs Abraham Rodriguez
You mean Tanaka beat Kimura for the 112 pound title right?

Re: Angel Acosta vs Abraham Rodriguez
Kosi Tanaka was able to dominate this guy, a legit murderous puncher that weighs 108 pounds. When you watch this fight you can hear Rodriguez's skin body/head splat with Acosta landing even on arms & shoulders. Very unique somewhat sickening sound you don't often hear a 108 pounder make.
