Re: Sam Eggington vs Ted Cheeseman
Prediction,
I think this will be a great fight, I would say definitely if Cheeseman hadn't boxed on the back foot against Fitzgerald. Both are come forward fighters, certainly Eggington, I've never seen him box well on the back foot, and Cheeseman fights on the front coming forwards more often than not. Both fighters are solid athletes, are durable, but have both already taken a lot of damage in their careers. Eggington hits a lot harder than Cheeseman, and I think he is a better body puncher, but Cheeseman isn't as defensively poor as Eggington, he's not a good defensive fighter himself, but Eggington's defence is almost non-existent, and Eggington is more one dimensional based on him not adapting his style, and Cheeseman boxing well against Fitzgerald. I think Cheeseman will win a UD by being the technically better fighter,it will be interesting to see if he can out box Eggington like Skeete and Mimoune did, but if Cheeseman fights Eggington like he fought Conway, Eggington has a much better chance to win.

Re: Sam Eggington vs Ted Cheeseman
Close fight that one. Gruelling.
Eggington lost closely but I think he comes out of that with credit. For Cheeseman, he just slips into the same old Ted Cheeseman eventually. He fought quite amateurish at times. He was lucky that Eggington took half the fight to figure him out, otherwise he'd have lost that. I think Cheeseman has found his level, a good level British fighter but that's about it for him. He'll no doubt be involved in good dustups like this one.
Although I've always thought Cheeseman was massively overhyped and overrated but I expected him to win this convincingly and I was disappointed. He's a warrior though no doubt and showed great heart as always.

Re: Sam Eggington vs Ted Cheeseman
Great fight!
Eggington did better than I thought, finally, he moves his head, his jab has improved, and whilst he's worked on his fundamentals, he still did everything he's always done well, is still a solid pressure fighter, high output, good variety, attacks body and head, hits hard, I think Eggington is in his prime now. The only thing I thought was slightly worse for Eggington was his punch resistance, he's not shot at 26, but I don't think Cheeseman could have hurt him a couple of years ago, even at 154. I think Cheeseman's best years are still ahead of him, I don't think he'll ever be a world champion, but he has a shot at winning a European title and fighting for a world title. Cheeseman's boxing in the early rounds was the difference, Eggington's boxing has improved, but Cheeseman won the first 5 rounds with his speed, combinations and movement.
