Re: Raymond Ford vs Aaron Perez
for some reason couldn’t find this fight page on google
don’t exactly feel this was a robbery as a lot of folk on YT is claiming what do you guys think of this fight
however I feel it was a bad commentary job in Fords favour
mostly
after rd 1 Mora talks of one moment of success Perez had right before the bell with Ford on the ropes but ignores the earlier not too dissimilar instances with just as much if not more success for Perez with Ford on the ropes and yes while Ford was crisp early with his check hooks that wasn’t the how the second half of the rd shaped up
didn’t like Mannix post rd takes either mostly after 4& 5....going into the 6th rd claiming Perez had slowed down attempting to plant seeds in the viewers heads based on an earlier comment about how Perez’s style required more energy than Fords in reality that 5th stanza was super close and Perez I felt landing his backhand better whereas Ford completely missing his in real time viewing in an exchange aka Duran vs SRL first fight may have swung the rd in Perez’s favour
I have to give the commentary team mainly Mora and Mannix credit for their reasonings on how they scored rd 6 in Ford’s favour both takes were reasonable enough

Re: Raymond Ford vs Aaron Perez
I didn't like the commentary, I thought they wrote Perez off, and at times, were acknowledging what they already knew about Ford, without acknowledging what was going on in the fight. Ford has talent, has good technique, accuracy, is well schooled, and he's a counter puncher, but he didn't deal with Perez's output or rugged style well. Perez did great, his tactics didn't favour the counter puncher, he took advantage when Ford was on the ropes, was always trying to close the distance, he cut off the ring well, Ford hurt him to the body late in the fight, he faded after 3 rounds, Ford had the momentum in the last 2 rounds, Ford didn't have much in the tank either because Perez had taken a lot of himself and Ford by forcing the pace, but the fatuige was more costly for the less technically skilled fighter, because he's more reliant on physical attributes. Ford has a lot to learn, he's very young, this was a great learning fight for him, but I don't think he did enough to win, a mistake he made was letting Perez close the gap, he was looking for a counter, so he let Perez get off first, and let him work on the inside.

Re: Raymond Ford vs Aaron Perez
@Champ solid analysis
don’t disagree with it mostly except the bit about Perez being the technically inferior thus it hurting him more as both men fatigued Perez certainly found his second wind in that final rd
is it just my phone or is the scoring rds different now on here with with a blue box around each rd as you click and when you do it shows you the score of the previous rd you score but it shows “none” still and you have to score it like before all the same

There have been some changes made on EOTR recently I've noticed, it's good to see the people whp started this site haven't forgotten about it, I'm not the best person to ask because I'm not an administrator, but I haven't noticed a change in terms of submitting a scorecard.

Re: Raymond Ford vs Aaron Perez
wow ok that’s weird bro I mean its easier to miss a slot for a rd now cos you think you scored as it automatically fills up the with your scoring option from the scoring slot just prior only to look back when you go to the next scoring rd to find out you haven’t scored the one prior
don’t you keep in touch with the admins of this site tho
you guys probably aren’t taking requests but I’d like to ask for a photo option next to the comments where you can comment with a screenshot let’s say like fb allows but that’s probably too hard to do and too massive an update maybe but the discussions may get much easier IMO

Re: Raymond Ford vs Aaron Perez
While we can create fight cards, posts, and threads, only the site owner can do massive updates. We've lobbied behind the scenes for a few fixes over the last few years, but the site owner isn't as active as us contributors, and it's sometimes hard to get in touch, but we can try to see what they say. I know myself, Champ, and Gold have limited admin powers, but Zoe, the owner, can do more if they choose to

I haven't noticed a change, but will keep an eye out for sure. Don't know what you score from, but from the Ipad I use for scoring, the layout hasn't seemed to change much, but most fight nights, I've had a cocktail or twelve, so could have just missed it, lol.
I'm on Twitter with the same name btw, so feel free to follow! Always talking shit about the fights on there when not on here, lol.

Re: Raymond Ford vs Aaron Perez
lol fight nights shouldn’t keep from your fav drinks huh
I score from my phone sometimes and the scoring slots as with this comment box where I’m tying my reply to you in has a blue outline as of me noticing today and with the scoring it feels a little weird with a score already in before you select your option for a round
will do bro...I need to join Twitter first lol
