Donaire in for Rigo now. Nonito is a fucking legend man.

Gold's picture

Heard this may be off basically because Casimero can't cycle off to get on VADA which Donaire wants, it may be Donaire vs. Rigo II instead. Hopefully, that means Inoue next for Casimero, he can juice out and he'll still get destroyed

@Gold bro I don’t believe they’re going cross network for a Inoue fight unless its Undisputed especially now with this whole debacle and back and forth bad blood I do believe pbc stands to benefit in the long run if they can play their cards right and get Donaire manager what she wants which is an apology from team Casimero and possibly further compliance with vada testing protocols from them more or less..if PBC can handle that in a diplomatic fashion they can only stand to gain the more this fight marinates and if Casimero gets the Rigo fight and beats Rigo retaining his title the once strong storylines will then will be huge &the demand of that fight will only multiply for like half a dozen reasons Casimero loses to Rigo this is still a sellable fight
If Donaire fights Casimero and wins he won’t be looking to fight Rigo for Undisputed however if Rigo beats Casimero and takes his belt more likely Rigo will want Donaire and likewise Donaire would need Rigo belt too for his undisputed goal and Rigo has already shown he is willing to fight Casimero that’s 3 fights instead of 1 before undisputed and possibly 4 if there’s a rematch in there prolly between Donaire and Casimero I’ll take that when the matchups look competitive and curious enough with both Rigo and Donaire being technically better than Casimero but both of em slowing down a ton and maybe ripe for the picking with someone of the punching ability of Casimero, style vice I like both matchups for Casimero

I think Inoue vs. Donaire is the biggest fight they can make for him, if not then do Donaire vs. Rigo II and Inoue vs. Casimero, Inoue is the biggest fight at the weight. It seems like there is bad blood between Donaire and Casimero given everything that's been said. Casimero is working with Memo and Donaire has been a big proponent of clean fighters for his whole career, that may be a bridge too far. I agree it makes sense for PBC to make it 2 belts vs 2 belts but it may not happen. I don't think much of Casimero personally, I think he'll lose to Donaire because Donaire has much better technique, is the larger fighter, and has a good chin.

Casimero is a disgrace, the mistreatment of Donaire's family is disgusting, and that was in a pathetic tantrum about Donaire not letting him duck VADA, sorry to say this fight seems unlikely, Casimero is to blame, no doubt.

but what about for Rigo and Casimero? plus and it bigger for all em and most specifically the winner of em by the time the make it to the Inoue fight...at this point it’s hard picking against Inoue and it only reasonable for Inoue to be favoured over all 3 of em

what further roadblocks you envision for a cross network fight by the time it’s 2 vs 2 belts?.TR & PBC

Gold's picture

Rigo is a non-factor as a draw, potentially even a negative asset as we've seen in the past. I think he's just opponent level at this point, they can bring in any other 118 contender they have and draw the same or better. I think it would be a mistake to try to overmarinate the undisputed fight but of course they will try to milk what they can out of it. Who knows what the roadblocks will be, hopefully it isn't too bad given that it doesn't have huge PPV potential or anything.

sounding a lot like Manny Steward there Gold

Champ Rigo is back on challenging Casimero for his title as of now idk if Donaire is off the card completely
another step in the redemption arc for Rigo?....if Rigo somehow gets to a undisputed cross network bout vs the monster and is able to pull off a miracle victory that from my vantage point is a greater redemption feat than Duran or Toney pulled off in their careers

I wouldn’t be suprised if Inoue vs Donaire II is announced in the next few days

Chris M95's picture

great call Metalhead now I’m hearing negotiations have started between both camps for a November bout

Jarod Killian's picture

excellent choice! however, I think putting too much hopes on this "redemption" storyline is a bit too far fetched given how Inoue convincingly beat Donaire the first time. Sure, Donaire was game and stung Inoue and all that good shit and yeah round 11 which was fucking amazing. but all in all I didn't even think that was fight of the year Spence-Porter or Prograis-Taylor are far more apropos candidates imho. I had that 9-3 Inoue which is hardly competitive just not lopsided but my expectation is Inoue to win slightly more convincing than last time.

Jarod Killian's picture

did these motherfuckers get to finally decide who's fighting Casimero now? Geez Donaire and Rigo being as indecisive as 16-year old school girls! Motherfuckers!

Champion97's picture

Casimero is 100% blame for the collapse of the Donaire fight.
