Re: Robert Alfonso vs Iago Kiladze
Prediction,
Never heard of Alfonso, seems like another good prospect, 18-0, not a puncher, has 44% stoppages, and he is 32, which is old for a prospect, but he's a decent sized heavyweight, should have a few good years in him.
Alfonso was a brilliant amateur, beat Oscar Rivas, Michael Hunter, Andy Ruiz, he fought Luis Ortiz and Odlanier Solis, and he was a 2008 Olympian. Alfonso's pro career hasn't taken off, he has been very active in the last few years, but he wasn't that active early in his career. Alfonso has been 10 rounds, which is the advantage of being an unbeaten prospect without a lot of power, he's been 6 rounds many times, but he has only had one 10 round fight, all the rest have been small fights, hasn't fought any top 30 opponents, his opposition has not been that bad, but Alfonso is very much unproven as a professional.
Kiladze has lost his last 3 fights, all by mid stoppage, against fighters who are probably all top 15 heavyweights, but I don't think this is a step up for Alfonso. I think Alfonso will beat Kiladze easily, might stop him late, but I think a one sided UD.
