Re: Fury In The Desert: Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Justin Juuko...
R1- Juuko is coming off of a stoppage loss and even more notably was a sparring partner for Jeff Mayweather. Mayweather is controlling the action with his jab, gradually moving out of the way of Juukos passive offense.

Re: Fury In The Desert: Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Justin Juuko...
R2- An overhand right from Mayweather begins the round. The jab is not as effective of a weapon for him in the round, but he does catch Juuko with a lot of fast left hooks and right hands. Most of Juuko’s offense is being caught on Mayweather’s philly shell, but he does land a few body shots and one right upstairs late.

Re: Fury In The Desert: Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Justin Juuko...
R3- The jab of Juuko is coming more often, but Mayweather is avoiding it and landing right hands over it. Nearly every time that Juuko’s head moves forward, Mayweather pops him with a right hand.

R4- Mayweather catches Juuko with a pair of rights during an exchange, but Juuko closes out with a right of his own. The uppercuts are landing as counters for Mayweather, who controls most of the round with his jabs and straight rights down the middle of the face and body.

Re: Fury In The Desert: Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Justin Juuko...
R5- The counter right hand continues to land for Mayweather. Juuko is having some success to the body and lands a couple of looping rights, but Mayweather is beating him to the punch and showing the far better defense. Some showboating is done by Mayweather, particularly when he smiles after blocking a combination. A right hand rocks Juuko late. Not as dominant of a round as the previous, but one that still must be scored for Mayweather.

Re: Fury In The Desert: Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Justin Juuko...
R6- Mayweather is landing pull counters and putting several successions of hooks together on the head of Juuko, sometimes even as counter offense. While maintaining the role of the aggressor, Mayweather is able to slip past most of Juuko’s offense. Good round for the champion.

R7- Some flashy footwork is shown early on by Mayweather. Mayweather continues to slip and counter, but Juuko starts to have success to the body. Mayweather is landing to the body too, but Juuko catches him with a solid right hand counter in the midst of his body work at one point. Mayweather flashes his tongue to play it off. This round is the best for Juuko in the fight and one can argue thathe even won it. However, I would give it to Mayweather due to effective defense.

R8- Juuko is busier and begins the round with a series of jabs, but Mayweather is catching and rolling with most of his shots. While not entirely busy with it, Mayweather is accurate with the jab here and he is also connecting with pull counters.

Re: Fury In The Desert: Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Justin Juuko...
R9- Mayweather uses the shoulder roll to catch a big flurry from Juuko. Just as the commentators are speculating as to whether Mayweather will get the knockout or not, he buzzes Juuko with a pair of looping rights. Mayweather then steps in with a quick right hand on the button that puts Juuko down. Juuko is dazed and either cannot or simply does not want to get up and is therefor counted out. Another impressive showing from Mayweather. Justin Juuko proved to be a game challenger and was arguably Mayweather’s toughest assignment to the point, even as a last minute replacement. However, the pedigree of Mayweather showed, as used terrific defense to keep himself safe and complacent offense to break his man down. Unfortunately for Juuko, he would go on to lose his remaining big fights.
