R1- Both are trying to implement their styles and Burns’ is the only one successful at it, as his jab is keeping Crolla from getting inside and his guard is keeping him safe when Crolla manages to.

R2- The left hook of Crolla is being caught, but his right hand is getting through the guard. Crolla is also able to dig two piece combos to the body throughout as well.

R3- While Burns is able to walk Crolla into a few right hands, Crolla has taken his jab away, allowing him to get inside plenty of times in order to land short hooks to the head and body.

R4- A moment occurs early where Burns lands a left hook to the head and Crolla responds with a left hook to the body. Crolla is still no where for Burns’ jab to find and he is placing left hooks on the head and body of Burns throughout.

R5- Crolla is outjabbing the jabber and using this shot to get inside successfully. We see some role reversal where Burns takes the fight to the inside, causing Crolla to become the counter puncher and land some left hooks to his credit. Burns goes tit for tat in a body shot battle in the final minute, but Crolla does the superior body work throughout.

R6- The fight starts with another phone booth war, with Crolla showing the superior body attack once more. A good display of sportsmanship is shown on both ends after a foul. Crolla is getting up close to land combinations to the body before finishing off with a short left or right hook upstairs, plus he is showing more accuracy with the jab at this rate.

R7- Both are having plenty of success with their hooks to the body, but Burns’ body shots are more eye-catching since he is visibly sitting on them more. Burns is also landing left and right hooks upstairs when they trade up close. The leas uppercut is landing at will for Burns, the few times that he does throw it. One right uppercut in particular bloodies the nose of Crolla.

R8- As he has been for most of the fight, Crolla is the one pushing the pace and forcing the fight. The one time that Crolla ends up on the ropes, he spins to pin Burns on them instead and continues to work his body. Not only is the body work doing well for Crolla, but he is also scoring with his jab through the guard. Burns gets in body shots here and there, but was overall outhustled in this round.

R9- As Crolla has appeared to have slowed down, Burns has done the opposite. The jab is back in effect for Burns, who is also showing good timing with his left hook to the head. On top of this, the slowed pace from Crolla has allowed Burns to outwork him to the body.

R10- Most of the shots found within Crolla’s flurries are landing on the gloves and arms of Burns. While Burns is not too busy, he is still showing better accuracy with his potshots and definitely shows the better defense between the two. An ugly flurry of rabbit shots lands for Burns at one point, but he still gets a bit more clean work done overall.

R11- After taking a right hand from Burns, Crolla lands a left hook and a right hand of his own. Another right hand sets up a pair of uppercuts for him. Crolla spends the round throwing two shots at a time to the head and body, while Burns is mostly scoring with his potshotted jab.
