R1- Both are exchanging jabs an occasional right hands. Charlo gets Hogan on the ropes, but Hogan fights his way off. A looping right lands for Charlo, but Hogan lands some short combos to the body in the clinch. A definite swing round, but I edge Hogan for seemingly doing a bit more. Despite this close start, the rest of the fight would belong to Charlo.

R2- Hogan lands a succession of jabs early on, but Charlo gets in a thudding right soon after. The right hand becomes a good counterpunch for Charlo, and he catches Hogan off balance with it twice. The check hook and stiff jab of Charlo are interrupting Hogan’s rhythm too.

R3- The crowd emerges with a mix of boos and chants of “Charlo! Charlo!” Hogan is busier, but Charlo has been blocking and countering since the last round. Charlo seems to be too focused on loading counters, but is still able to back Hogan off with the right hand, whether thrown straight or as an uppercut.

R4- Not long is needed for Charlo to drop Hogan with a left uppercut, which actually makes him somersault backwards. Hogan impressively gets up, but goes on survival mode. Still, Charlo is able to get to him with the jab, so he starts to land rights and uppercuts behind it. He does not seem to do any major damage to Hogan after the knockdown, but this is still a big round for the champion.

R5- Hogan is trying to get in and out with his offense, but is having little success. Charlo snaps back his head with a left hook, but Hogan takes it well. Two right hands from Charlo do the same thing later.

R6- With Charlo being aggressive early, Hogan manages to get him off balance with a check hook. This is about all that Hogan does in the round though, as he then remains content to try and hold as much as he can. Charlo starts to score with overhand rights and left hooks through the second half of the round.

R7- Charlo comes out looking to seek and destroy, as he quickly lays Hogan out on his side with a sweeping left hook. Hogan rises dazed and unsteady, and the fight is stopped when he is unable to walk towards the ref. Excellent finish by Charlo. Even though he seemed to be looking for one big shot too much, Charlo at least dominated a solid fighter that should have been a world champion in another weight at the time. Hogan also won a minor belt recently, which I do feel makes this victory look better for Charlo.
